Hey everyone
We know that these are trying times, but the staff at HRA are working hard to ensure that amazing musical experiences still happen. Please continue to check this page. This is where we will be announcing new information and answering questions we have received. We miss our students and are so excited to see them! Be well and stay safe! This year a bunch of music educators got together to create a video celebrating our class of 2020. Click this link to see this fun and inspiring video.
Congrats Class of 2020 INSTRUMENT RENTAL RETURNS
Dates: June 10th, 11th, 12th Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm Mr. Beeler, Halifax Regional Arts Music West’s director will be accepting your instrument rental returns at the Oxford School’s gymnasium side door on June 10th, 11th, and 12th, between the hours of 9:00am and 1:00pm. The door to the gym will be marked and is in the courtyard behind Oxford school off Willow street. Please look for the signs and observe appropriate physical distancing. Please make every effort to return your instrument rental on these days so that we can process them and get them ready to rent in September. RENEWING INSTRUMENTS You may opt to renew your instrument rather than return it. This renewal requires that the instrument be in usable condition and the correct size, according to their music teacher. Please e-mail me to let me know if you are interested in this option. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Diana Cooke Instrument Rental Information: E-Mail: dcooke@hrce.ca Location: Oxford School, 6364 North Street, Halifax, NS B3L 1P6 Department Head: Nathan Beeler Hello Parents and Students

See the poster below, and we hope you can attendDear String Parents: RE: CHRISTIAN HOWES WORKSHOP VENUE CHANGE, OCTOBER 23rd As you have heard, our students are being given an amazing opportunity to work with international string educator and performer Christian Howes. I am very In fact, so are you. As our program and registration grows, we have out grown the original venue, for fire safety and security. So, we need to change the venue for the event. All of the information remains the same except for the venue. Students are to arrive between 8:30 and 8:50 for a 9:00 start at: St. Andrew’s United Church 6036 Coburg Road, Halifax All City Music A Map is attached to this email indicating the location in more detail. On the map you will see two drop off points for students. We will have a staff member at both of these points to ensure students get to where they are going and that they are safe. Drop Off Point 1-Edward Street on the West side of the church. Drop Off Point 2-Coburg Road on the North side of the church. (please not that exiting Coburgh from this point requires that you turn right on Robie) The consent form you signed is still valid. I apologize for any confusion this caused. Thank you for continuing to support your child’s music education. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s string teacher, or feel free to contact me directly.
